Holding Summer School on “Sustainable Agriculture”
The first Summer School on “Sustainable Agriculture”, relying on agromatronics concepts has been held internationally from July 1-15, 2019, along with the objectives of the Erasmus+ project for Fostering Internationalisation in Agricultural Engineering in Iran and Russia [FARmER].
Several academic staff
from universities in Germany (Technical University
Ilmenau), Italy (Università degli Studi
dell’Aquila), Slovakia (Slovak University of
Agriculture in Nitra), Russia (“Platov
South-Russian State Polytechnic University”, “South
Ural State University”
, “Stavropol State Agrarian University”, “Astrakhan State University” and Iran (“Babol Noshirvani University of
Technology” and “Sari
Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University”) were
contributed in preparation of the course materials in the summer school. 7
courses prepared by Iranian faculty members (2 courses from “Babol Noshirvani
University of Technology” and 5 courses
from “Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University” were presented
during this course. Dr. D. Kalantari, technical director of the project at
SANRU said: “the course was welcomed by students, given the student’s
acceptance of all undergraduate and graduate degrees in various fields of
agriculture and natural sciences and the free registration.
Mr. A. Kochnev, organizing member of the summer school, claimed that 406
participants from either partner universities and other universities of Russia
and Iran that are not members of the Consortium, were taken part at this summer
school, surprisingly exceeded almost 3 times of the planned number of
participating students. The name of the participating universities are given
